Things to do in Hammamet
Aside from relaxing on the beach or by the pool, there are plenty of activities to fill your day. Sports such as tennis and golf can be played, it's easy to arrange horse riding and of course there are many popular water sports to try including windsurfing and water skiing.
Places to visit include the medina where you can sharpen your bargaining skills and Friguia Park, a well kept wildlife park dedicated to helping protect endangered species. Animals including lions, crocodiles, gazelles and flamingos can all be admired in this protective environment.
The area is also famous for jasmine, which can be found in the many souvenirs around town.
Getting to Hammamet
Hammamet is easily reached by bus or by train, or take one of many taxis you will see during your stay. They are cheap, but it is best to agree on a price with the taxi driver before getting in.
